Lessons in Powder Coating: Color difference between profiles and flashings?!

We recently received a report from one of our regular clients about an observed
color difference between the profile work and the flashings. The supplied photos of the project
confirmed the image.

After consulting our order files and checklists, we could not find any direct deviations
find. The profiles and flashings were coated with a powder of the same RAL colour and
supplier. In addition, we could see that the parts had the same layer thickness (with tolerance)
had received.

We believe partnership in business is very important. With a color sample in hand, we are on location
go and see. Upon arrival we thoroughly analyzed the difference. And what did we find? The difference in
color perception was caused by the incidence of light and a different viewing angle. By the
changing perspectives the color may appear different, but in reality it is consistent. The
In this situation, flashings give a lighter colour perception than the profiles.

Of course we always take reports seriously! We want to be of service to our clients,
but also want to understand what is going on. This personal attention makes that
end users are reassured! With ultimately a satisfied client
customer! At CoatR we call this “partnership in business”.
